See the new R1300GS is not popular. Am seeing a lot of YouTubers as selling them already. As the engine is going in the new RT it isn't as nice as some say. The engine is bloody noisy. Now Imagine this engine enclosed in a large fairing. Nothing to prove points the noise out on his R1300GS. Skip to 16:50 to hear the engine and his remarks

its very hard to comment on the 1300 as i've not ridden one or even heard one running in real life.
My only view i have, is i really dont like the look of the new 1300 GSA.

Thats not good to hear, my only gripe with my 1250RT is the rattly engine noise...... thinking of gettng the modified cam chain tensioner fitted but now thinking they cant be quieten'd down.... could go the other way and fit a loud exhaust

I think the 1300 engine noise will be less noticeable on the RT over the GS just like it is now on the 1250..I'm seeing more and more of the 1300's out on the road these days and I'm sure there'll be more and more as people's pcp deals come to an end as well. I sat on one when my GS was being serviced and liked some things about it and disliked others.

I've never seen one on the road. The engine on the video sounds like the tappets are well out of adjustment. Sounds like my old R45 I owned in the 70's.

My mate has bought one... Ive seen it but not heard it running, he intially liked it better than his RT, then was finding the riding position not quite right for him, he raised the bars but before he could get a few miles on it the suspension packed up... been with dealer for a few weeks now, waiting for Germany to help with fixing it no date for getting it back and no courtesy bike as he is over 75!!! say they cant get insurance for him

That's bad.As a new bike it should be a do it now job. One reason I won't buy a new bike until the gremlings are sorted
