It all depends on how lucky you are, the luggage locks have 6 leafs numbered 1,2 or 3 these are arranged 3 in the top of the barrel and 3 in the bottom of the barrel to suit the coding of the key. It's unlikely the leafs could be rearrange to suit your key .I recently attempted to do what you are asking .The barrel is retained in place by a keeper plate that has to be retracted a little bit ,to enabe removal and has to be in the unlocked position.I bought a barrel kit from Motor Works . BMW would not sell me the Barrel kit as it states on the packaging that it must be installed by an approved workshop. But would sell to me locking kits for the aluminium luggage perhaps these cases can't be coded to the ignition.

Hi

I managed to fit them to a new key but only used 4 of the leaves. However was not totally happy so dropped in on a local dealer and they gave me some, so somewhere I do have quite a number of them spare I can try and find them and post you a few.

Word of warning make sure you are 100% sure you have it working correctly before fitting the locking leaf or you may have to pull the case apart
( dont ask me how I come by this knowledge)

Well i took one of the locks apart (left cubby storage). What a pain in the ass that was.
I had to remove the face plate of the lock to remove the long pin that was holding the wafers in place.
Then i stabbed myself with a small screwdriver in the finger tapping the sides of the face plate so it did not come back off.
The good thing is i now know the key code for my bike and how to rekey the locks.
