Connected app and paired helmets

Hi guys,
I have a 2024rt. Everything works well with the connected app until I pair my helmet intercom with my pillion. That action disconnects the helmets from the bike.
Helmets are both Schuberth SC10 (Sena).
Does anyone know where the problem lies.
Many thanks,
Mac.

Hi Mac
I had that similar problem on my 2023 1250GSA paired with a Schuberth C5. It ended up being the sequence of connecting the bike & iPhone which took 4 or 5 attempts to correct despite following BMW & Schuberth instructions. After around 4 attempts and much blue air I discovered my Schuberth comms software needed to be updated. Back to the laptop, update downloaded, re-pairing helmet then iPhone and it worked. Next problem was the darn wheel on the handlebar wouldn't control the volume so the software update fixed one problem but created another.

Not sure is any of that will help.

Good luck with your challenge.

Thankfully I saw sense and got rid of the GSA and now have a much calmer life with the RT

Have you tried pairing both helmets to the bike? You can pair the second helmet as pillion and I believe you can select what they hear but I could be wrong on that.

I don't pair my helmet to the bike

I suppose it depends what functionality you want, but as you have already experienced, sometimes the grief is just too much for the odd time it will be a benefit to you.

As above though, make sure everything is up to date before you start, and then try different ways to connect it, it should not matter, but it does, and some apps or units need to be the lead one, lets just hope you don't have two conflicting

Thanks for the advice. I've tried every combination of connecting the phone and helmets to the bike, I can get satnav instructions to both helmets, but as soon as I pair the helmets together both disconnect from the bike. I'm fairly sure there's an issue with the Schuberth/Sena as I have lost a number of the configuration menu options.....and Schuberth either can't or won't offer a solution.
How's the weather in Turra ?

Aye, that works fine, I even get satnav instructions to the wife's helmet so she can tell me everything I'm doing wrong. It's pairing the helmets to each other to get intercom that disconnects the helmets from the bike. Ach well, having to forgoe speaking to the wife in favour of the Satnav isn't so bad :-D

I've run out of swears and blood pressure to high, so resigning myself to the fact that it'll never work ! Neither Schuberth nor BMW offering any constructive advice......they've already got my money

How many bluetooth channels do the headsets have?

If you only have one channel then you can only have one bluetooth device connected

If you have two then you need to figure out how to connect to the second channel as it sounds to like you're connecting everything to the same channel hence why it kicks the bike out
