I called them before I ordered and they confirmed it will fit
It's also claimed to give better cranking amps so maybe could be classed as an upgrade
If in any doubt give them a call yourself

I changed my oem battery for exactly the same worries before a europe trip this year
used MBTX16U MOTOBATT Quadflex AGM Bike Battery 12V 19Ah https://www.tayna.co.uk/motorcycle-batteries/motobatt/mbtx16u/
Starter spins over faster and didn't let me down on trip, does feel a bit stronger

Another option available is the Pirelli Angel GT 2
I've done about 1300 miles of touring in the Alps so far and no sign of wear
last two sets of Michelin PR4 GT had severe sawtoothing wear

totally agree with you (gogs01)about PR4's not being significantly better than the PR3.

Tyre replacement dilemma



I'm on my 3rd set of Michelin PR4 GT's on my 2014 R1200RTw
No problems with them except serious cupping on the front and rear
I do mainly touring and heavily loaded and lots of bends and not too worried about high mileage
I was thinking of changing to Metzeler 01s but now being advised about the ...

I have solved the issue by putting a block of wood under the centre stand before puting it on the centre stand.
the extra height now allows the front paddock stand to lift the front wheel without the rear touching the floor
