I purchased a pre-owned 2018 R1200RT last month; it came with a Navigator V unit, but it did not have the GPS cover plate nor a carry case for the Garmin unit.

Does anyone have a picture of the factory GPS cover plate that came on their bike or the BMW Part Number, if I want to source a replacement ...

Thanks for the replies and suggestions, everyone.  I will definitely try the silicone spray or talc methods before getting crazy with my drill.  :)  I bought this bike used; so I don't know the exact history of this particular top box.  I just know it is a factory 49-liter BMW ...
