Re: What did you do today?

Hopefully they'll run quieter than the Michelin Anakee Adventures it came with as supplied. Should get similar mileage too from past experience (10k) till on summer.

Re: R1250RT Clutch Engagement Spot
Unfortunately this doesn't move the point enough! well not in my case anyway You are talking fractions of an inch and if you're not careful you can end up with clutch slip if adjusted too much I was replying to the OP's question of "anyone have any experience of anything a little cheaper"...

Re: R1250RT Clutch Engagement Spot
There's a little grub screw at the back of the lever you can adjust for the bite point, only turn it in small increments while checking the bite point you require.

Re: What did you do today?
Lots of bikes out there today, and apart from one GS rider they all nodded. The GS rider had matching textiles and helmet to his blue/white GS  One doesn't nod when riding a GS! One raises one's eyebrows to fellow BMW riders of equivalent capacity machines ;) and one certainly doesn't n...

Re: Eletric Scooter
I think its time for something to be done. Yesterday just up the road from my home, a 17 year old boy on one of these scooters was in collision with a car. The road was closed, with police, fire engine and ambulance all there. It looked like the boy was in a bad way as the air ambulance landed in t...

Anything with tits or an engine is going to cost you money over time. Use it and get the best value out of it for your enjoyment before it starts costing you.

Re: problem with DVLA
The current system works really well 99.9% of the time. Gone are the days of having to get paper proof of everything and go and stand in line at the post office to get a tax disc, thankfully.

Re: Illegible screen
The screen back light can be adjusted for brightness using the two buttons under the clocks (or one of them) it also has a daylight sensor which automatically turns the back light off in daylight. 2011 RT.
