10,000 km is 6000 miles which is the service interval :thumb: I mentioned this because the instructions said to change to KMs before resetting, but I coulldnt do this so it may have set it at 10,000 mies... not that it matters as i dont do large mileages, always the year for servicing. Was suprised...

So in the end I went with the Healtech unit, changed the oil today and re-set the service light, all went ok ish. All previous servicing done by BMW, nearly broke the filer cap trying to get ot off... kin ell bloody tight, also oil filter on far too tight, had a chain wrench on it with a 1/2" r...

funny you mention this, I was out on my RT on Saturday and noticed the low beam on a lot more than normal.... probably just the dull day?

My mate has bought one... Ive seen it but not heard it running, he intially liked it better than his RT, then was finding the riding position not quite right for him, he raised the bars but before he could get a few miles on it the suspension packed up... been with dealer for a few weeks now, waitin...

Thats not good to hear, my only gripe with my 1250RT is the rattly engine noise...... thinking of gettng the modified cam chain tensioner fitted but now thinking they cant be quieten'd down.... could go the other way and fit a loud exhaust :lol:

Watching with interest, but I haven’t seen anyone showing it working with the non lcd screen rt. all the videos I have seen show the lcd and the long press on the menu button to switch from the lcd to the nav….
If anyone has it on the earlier 1250 would be good to see..

You asked about the fairing socket for charging, I bought an optimate apparently it wakes up the can bus and allows charging through the socket….. all above my pay grade but seems to work.
