Just had a text from him, and he is coming Tuesday by train and i will pick him up at the local station. If he turns up great and i will go from there. If he does not turn up then all i have lost in some time. Well good luck with this one, I sincerely hope that my post above was a little pessimisti...

Yes, I think Stu & Doc T are correct regarding length for a SWB Transit but as yours is a LWB you would be ok.
As an aside I now have a Transit, L1H1 and I regularly carry my trail bike (CRF300L) and it fits in with no problem and not skewed to a side.

Yes, it should go in no problem with the screen removed. I have carried mine in a Toyota Hiace which is a smaller van than your Transit.

Before anyone starts running away with this idea just bear in mind how many sections this would create :) Although I can create a recommendations section and within that have seperate sections for Camping, B&B's Hotels etc etc this would take up far less space on the main forum but all the rele...

Personally I think that is a very good idea.

Sounds to me like a dead battery. Just because it's new doesn't mean it will be fully charged.
