Have you checked eBay or some of the used parts houses?

I am satisfied with the shift assist on my 2017.
It is not perfect, but on gears 3-6 it is great, once you get used to using it.

The pads may have had Velcro at one time, but there is not any now. They fell simultaneously, one on each side, when I dropped the work stand.
