Re: Footrest lowering
Me too, No difficult problems. You may want to enlarge your brake and shift control levers/pedals. Just about all the lowering kits move the pegs further out and those pedals feel like they get smaller

Re: Grip modification
I had Grip Puppies and they got slick, so i wrapped them with silicone tennis racket grip tape. That worked very well and it looks good too. No negatve effects on heating.

Re: Fairing Tab Repair?
I fabricated a solution. I bent some 20 ga. stainless steel into a suitable shape and JB welded pieces to the pannel. They are strong and everything fits like stock. Here are some photos. Thanks, I like the Clearwaterlights concept, I may buy one and try fabricating the other.

Fairing Tab Repair?
I just had the 2 plastic tabs on my right front side fairing pannel break. Other than buying a new pannel I am looking for a good secure fix for repairing the tabs. YouTube has several. Some don't look too strong. Anyone have a method that worked for you?

Re: Bought an Abba Skylift
You are a lucky man. I have been looking for a used one for years. I finally just bought a conventional lift. Just got tired of crawling around on the ground.

Re: Seat Height
If you want a comfortable seat, you don'thave a lot of options. There are some aftermarket seat adjusters, but they did't solve the problem. I have a 29" inseam and helped the problem by getting lifted boots. Take a look at Calto or Daytona boots. I ended up with Calto with 2.5" lifts.

Before you spend much money, you may get something like this. Infact get one for yourself for summer riding.

Re: RT Pannier Lock Mechanism?
BMW thiught it would be a good idea to prevent the handles from locking when the panniers are off the bike. That is what those plungers do. As long as I haven't left the keys in the pannier, I don't care. Eliminating those plungers facilitates the reassembly process.
