Re: What did you do today?

Worse Sunday. Peddle bikes everywhere and those Sunday drivers that sit at 30 mph, whatever the road they're on.
Anyway, went out on the KTM this morning, god does this thing feel like I'm sitting on a little 125cc. Nice to get some cool wind to the body.
Question. Whilst riding the RT, only the ...

Re: Different screen and new tpms sensors ?

Yes I used a wake up tool but you can wake them up by riding but with the gs-911 you just enter the new codes

The valves are separate

Cheers, I’ll probably pick up a wake up tool, any recommendations for one ?.
I was going to look at that tyre changer again… but that plus a pair of tyres and ...

Re: Different screen and new tpms sensors ?

Also, on the 1250 are the valves part of the Tpms or separate ? If the latter is it recommended to change those at the same time ?.

More info here

Coincidently you commented on that thread

Thanks Stu, , I’d forgotten about that thread!. Mines a 2019 1250.

Different screen and new tpms sensors ?

I’ve got the puig screen on the RT but I’m looking for something smart for a change, maybe dark tint sports type screen, anything out there as I can’t see much ( uk).

Also new tyres are imminent but as the bikes 7 yrs old I want to replace the tpms sensors whilst I’m at it, I can’t be bothered ...

Re: Best All Around Tire For The RT

Not in comparison to some on here, about 7k a year if we do our Greece tour, otherwise about average at 3-ish.

Last year we didn’t do the tour because of wifey’s health, but this year (fingers crossed) we’ll do that in Sept plus another 2 week run through France next month.

Yes I remember ...

Re: Best All Around Tire For The RT

I’ve got a set of Dunlop Roadsmart GT4’s ready to go on before a 3 week France and Spain trip in June, and possibly another Greek trip in Sept, but wifey’s waiting on an op which takes precedence of course.
The new tyres get a good write up and it’s time for something different after 3 sets of ...

Re: Best All Around Tire For The RT

I think there’s always been a tendency for some to rate a different brand of tyre after fitting simply because they will feel great anyway with no squaring off.

Re: What did you do today?

Well I’m still thinking of selling the RT. In my head I wanted to try a 1300 just to see what they are like but I always wanted to get hold of a late 1250 with low miles in mint condition as I do much prefer the headlights and fairing but I still suffer neck and shoulder pain even after just 15 ...

Re: What did you do today?

So that was the hernia done on Monday up under general anaesthetic, they let me home in the evening ( once I could pee) as they didn’t need to turn off my defibrillator, I was glad not to have to stay a night as they told me.
4 days on and plenty of painkillers and it’s still uncomfortable and now ...

Re: Found a lightweight bike

After scanning the web for ages i found a bike. It was only in the other part of the village, and i know the bloke. After moving bikes around his double garage i saw it. A KTM 640, last edition 1999 bike. He's owned it from new. 8810 on the clock. Plus, has he already lowered it. As these are the ...

Thanks I was told it’ll be open surgery with another general anaesthetic and overnight stay, they also need to ‘ switch me off’ which complicates things and involves cardiology :| .

Re: What did you do today?

Trying to get a lot of things done as in 2 weeks I’m in hospital for a hernia op so won’t be doing much after for a while.
