Thanks - some good suggestions. It was completely dry that day and I'd been out for an hour or two (it hasn't rained in the UK for around a month either) so I can probably rule out water from washing the bike / rain etc.

I'll keep an eye out for it every time I park up from now on, see if I can see ...

If its connected to power then lift the rear seat and disconnect the power first

Then open the top box and look under the carpet and you will see a big dial in the middle slide the unlock tab and twist it then you are free to lift it off

Ideally less than around 12k miles but well looked after. Gadgets and mods welcome if not too intrusive, but more interested in things like Hill Start control and TPMS or central locking. Would consider one with just panniers, but ideally a full luggage set would be preferable.

Finally I have a Givi XS307 tank bag for sale, with the Givi locking ring system. Works really well for refuelling, easy to pop the bag off. The bag has seen some use but otherwise is in good order.
