Re: 2023 Poll of Tyre Options
42 psi at the front is a bit high. They should be 36 psi.
Why would you fit an 80/20 Scorpion Rally STR tyre?
I use recommended pressures as a starting point, then fine tune based on handling. My ‘18 RT @ 42psi Front & 41 R noticeably lightens up the front end. It lessens effort / heavy feel ...

Re: RT handling
This may be a defunct thread, but I’ll comment anyway. My takeaway reading here, and from experience, is the RT’s design providing steering feel, direction, input, response etc. are very much tire and air pressure dependent. I can’t stress enough how much air pressures has affected my tire behavior ...

Re: OEM Brake pad alternatives
I used SBS CERAMIC pads on my 96 K1100 LT for years. They stopped well, delivered no dust to the wheels and kept the discs from wearing. What's not to love? Conversely, I used ebc front pads when I could no longer find the SBS any more. The ebc pads wore out both my discs and the pads really fast ...

Re: 2023 Poll of Tyre Options
My 2018 RT got 8,500 miles on the well rounded, very responsive Conti Road Attack 4 GT, running 42 psi front and rear. My riding combines straight line highway miles, plus an equivalent amount carving mountain and rural roads., utilizing the entire contact patch evenly. I recently mounted the ...

Re: Best All Around Tire For The RT
Hello
Just checked the RTs tires and not looking good! What do you fellows recommend for the RT? I have Michelin 5 GTs on it now and they only have 7500 miles and the best I could find was 3/16” of rubber @ the wear bars. A little gun shy with Michelin now.

Re: Hand guards on r1200rt
Realizing the last post here was some time ago, curious if anyone has found hand guard options apart from Barkbusters or Wünderlich. Looking for 2018 RT options.
I just emailed Machine Art on possible fitment scenarios.
