Re: What did you do today?

Well yesterday all i did was take all the bikes out of the garage and gave the garage a tidy up. Today i took the battery off my Hayabusa and fitted it to my ZX9r and brought a new battery for the Hayabusa. I am thinking of selling the ZX9r, but i say that every year and never do. its just a beauti...

Re: What did you do today?

On a much brighter note, I set up my tent and sleeping bag for night 1 of 5 for the Great Tommy Sleep Out through the British Legion to raise awareness of the challenges our ex-forces ladies and gents face being homeless. I had set a target of £100 but have now gone above £600 and am both humbled an...

Re: What did you do today?

A sleepless night for me. Had the Police and Ambulance knock on my door 4 times in the night. Each time they wanted to look around the house. By 6am wasn't worth going to bed. You would have thought by the 2nd time each of the services would have worked out is was crank calls. Hope no one really ne...

Good morning Dave, can I please ask you to include me on the list of attendees for the meet in Thirsk.

Thank you.

Re: Golden Fleece Room - UK Meet

Good day folks, due to a positive change in circumstances this room is no longer available as I'll be using it myself. I will now be able to get to the Yorkshire meet.

Thank you for your support :thumb:

Re: Part exchange value

Shoes? My apologies, tyres on bikes (maybe cars also) can be referred to as shoes up here. I'm sure there are plenty of other 'local' references for bits & pieces on our beloved steeds up and down the country, took me a while to figure out what blinkers were. Having horses around here I thought...

Re: What did you do today?

I'm in the park. Mum in-law has Dementia. very forgetful but she still knows our faces and voices. So we all do as much with her until she can't. It is a cruel condition and I always say to my wife we should take every opportunity to enjoy mum's company as one day she won't be there (in person) and...

Re: What did you do today?

The main thing is you saw your mum and made her happy Thank you very much Doctor T. Mum (in law) has lived in Wythenshawe, Manchester for over 75 years and only went in to a care home around 6 months ago at the age of 98. Whilst it's a slog up and down the M6 every 4 to 6 weeks we only have one mum...

Re: Part exchange value

I traded in my 2012 RT with 47k miles last year and got £4850 for it against a one-owner, 2013 RT with 2856 miles on it from same BMW dealer and they even fitted 2 new shoes of my choice so can't complain :thumb:

Re: Golden Fleece Room - UK Meet

I thought up north it was cheaper than down here. Can you swap for another date? Saves you by losing your money Hi Doctor T, Unfortunately I took what I thought was the best deal at the time which was 'non refundable / non changeable' thinking I was 100% sure of going to the meet so minimal risk. I...

Re: Golden Fleece Room - UK Meet

That's bloody exspensive for 2 nights. I don't know the area and assumed it was fairly standard given the hotel rating, RT recommendations and it's a holiday weekend. Not a problem, if I lose the monies paid then it's another one of those "we live and we learn even at this age" situations...
