Re: Aftermarket parts

Hey bud, if you need anything that you can’t find over there - see if you can get it here and someone could send it over to you.

Just a thought.

I might actually be in Canada later this year so could air drop the supplies in as I head to B.C.

Okay, I’ll go and tell my wallet to stop worrying. Honestly expected a huge bill there.

Cheers bud.

Is this normal???

So I’m just doing my service on my 2015 1200rt. Normally I’d pay a garage but it’s all stuff I can do myself. Obviously I’m getting more up close and personal than I normally would with it.

And I’ve spotted something I’d not noticed before a small perfectly round hole on the right hand side of the ...

Re: Clutch/gearbox jumping under emergency braking.

I had it serviced after I posted about the suspension, and thankfully when they had a look at it in really good condition. I do keep an eye on it and so far so good (he says hoping it stays that way).

Re: Going in to storage.

why not remove the battery and charge at home

Because I'm going to be away for between 5 and 12 days at a time and I'm not a fan of leaving stuff like that running whilst I'm away. I'm one of those people that, when they go away, turns everything off bar the fridge! And I'm even considering ...

Re: Going in to storage.

Why don't you attach a deep cycle battery to it for the duration?

Car & Bike batteries are designed to give a short burst of power to start an engine, where as a deep cycle battery is designed to give modest amount of power at a steady rate, but for a long time. That's why boats, caravans and ...

Dugway wrote: Sat Oct 04, 2025 2:55 pm I have heard that you should put it on the center stand with the idea that it takes the weight off of the tires and suspension.
It'd have to be on it's centre stand anyway as where it's in storage will need to be stable and as out the way as possible.

Re: Advice on Bike Cover

I've got the Stormex cover too, on a standard 2015 RT. Fits nice and snug with the panniers on.

Re: Going in to storage.

For 10 weeks I wouldn't worry!

Just keep it on charge is all I would do

Ah... Slight problem there... It's going to be in a storage container at my friends yard (no garage available). And with me being away from home I don't fancy leaving the battery on a trickle charge at home without my ...

Re: Trips resetting

Hey bud.

With the trips re-setting, have you checked which trip setting you have it on? I had it the other day and I'd some how changed it from Trip 1, to trip auto. The trip auto resets after a few hours and confused the heck out of me until I cottoned on to it.

Going in to storage.

Just need a quick bit of advice...

I'm going away on a course for 10 weeks as of January and I won't be able to use the bike in that time - So I'm putting it in to storage for the duration. I've never put my bike away for a long period, so I was just wondering if anyone could advise me on if there ...

Re: EZCAN cable lengths.

So you are buying a dedicated light system for your RT and you think its not going to fit

Well the EZCAN is for the bike, the rest is generic 'plug and play' that fits in to the EZCAN. When you're spunking near a grand on kit you want to make sure it's right!!!

For clarity however, I ...

Re: Clutch/gearbox jumping under emergency braking.

Hey bud.

Nah definitely wasn't that. One of the first things I do with any new car or bike is find out what the ABS feels like - Specifically so when it kicks in I know what I'm feeling and I don't panic or wonder what the heck is going on. This was a really heavy THUD from down low and between my ...

If you need to extend the cables then you can do that too without any issues
