Re: Suspension worries.
if you have extended warranty it should cover it. If remember correctly warranty cover restriction of 30,000 mile is for mechanical failure not electrical fault believe that has no restriction. I’m it’s 2nd or 3rd owner. I’ll give them a call but I’d be amazed if they’ll do anything with it on a 10...

Re: Suspension worries.
As above and they also other replacment Tractive suspension. About £250 for rebuild and about £700 for replacment for front about a year ago and a really helpfull guy. BMW only cover to 30,000 miles so if high milage replacment worth considering. So mine is coming up to 25000 miles, but its a 15 pl...

Suspension worries.
HELLLLLLP! So I think I have an issue with my rear suspension. I dropped it off the centre stand earlier and it just didn't feel right. Just a single solid thud on the floor rather than the usual little bounce. It also feels like it's sitting a little lower than normal. But... I don't see any oil AN...

Re: Engine enamel paint recommendations please.
Perfect, thanks for the advice.
Sod’s Law is it’s in about the least accessible place it could end up being! And how I’m going to get the paint ‘sunny day’ temperature at this time of year is probably an even bigger puzzle than getting at the rusted bit itself, lol.
Cheers again.

Engine enamel paint recommendations please.
Evening all. So it’s finally happened. Despite fairly regular cleaning and copious amounts of protector - the paint on my engine has given up the ghost and started to crack/chip/otherwise fall off. Does anyone have any recommendations as to which paint is best to do the touch up with, and also, do I...

Re: Front left storage compartment. 2020 R1250RT
I had a similar issue a couple of weeks ago. I think the rubber seal can fold the wrong way and gum up the working on the lock. I ended up having to pry it open once I’d seen which way the key needed to be (can’t recall that bit off the top of my head). But you may need a wide, thin tool of some for...

Re: HELP... Brake discs and pads!!
I had a warning from BMW when I had the shaft replaced that all 3 discs were near minimum spec, and quoted me just under £1k to do it. They will have their little joke! I bought BMW/Brembo replacements because I found a brand new front pair, pre-owned and still in the box on another site. The...

HELP... Brake discs and pads!!
Hi All,
I've scoured the site and can't find any recent articles for help.
Need to replace rear pads and disc - 1200RT, 15 plate, UK based.
I can find a myriad of discs and pads but can't seem to narrow them down to what fits the bike.
Any advice would be really appreciated.

Sound bomb or SPLIT sound bomb.
Hi All, just a quick one. I've seen loads and loads of threads about sound bombs, but can't find the answer so I'll ask the question: 2015 1200RT with 1x standard horn mounted in the fairing. Looking to upgrade with EZCan system including horn. Just need to know if I need to get the SPLIT sound bomb...

Re: Rear panniers...Are they really rubbish??
So I do agree that side opening panniers are a pain, and yes I have had stuff kamikazi out of the pannier as I open it. BUT... I can't complain about the size or the weather proofing of them (mine are factory ones on a 2015 model). Personally I've gone for the cheaper option of keeping things togeth...

Re: Hex EzCan
So my Ezcan is all fitted (thank FK). What a pain in the a$$ to do. I spent yesterday indoors with the soldering iron making all the cables to length. Even doing that did not make it any easier to fit, even with all the panels and headlight removed. But its done now. I wanted to set the top spotlig...
