BMW Top box
Hi has anyone fitted a BMW 28ltr top box onto a Givi rack ? Is there an adaptor plate to do this. The reason I'm asking this is to be able to swap it over from my Rt when I'm using my Honda without buying a Givi box. Cheers

Re: Later version of the RT
Approaching 100k that's great I don't think my 2006 Rt will ever see that ,I'll turn 72 this year and it's taken me 19 years to put 37k on it .Good point about the engine still being used in the Nine T something I'd never thought about. Previous comment about modern day electrics, since the introduc...

Re: Later version of the RT
I really should have a ride on a camhead ,as you said sharper styling and a crisper engine, also it's still posible to buy a good low mileage example. In the previous comment went from a twin cam to a LC more refined as it was put.I've also never had a ride on this model it might be time to visit de...

Later version of the RT
Have you ever changed your Rt for a newer version and regretted it. I've owned my 2006 Rt from new and touch wood it's been very reliable ,having it for this length of time suggests I must be reasonably happy with it. I have often thought of replacing it with a newer version and still do. But when I...

Re: Reiten Mottrad no longer selling new BMW bikes
Dealers are all struggling. Bmw keep churning out motorcycles with eye popping prices if it wasn't for PCP how many would be going out the showroom doors, do we need this technology that ultimately comes at a price. I personally don't think so .Good luck to Reiten Mottrad for diversifying it's sink ...

Re: Duration of RT Ownership
What a fine looking Rt. "In your own word's that you posted" Does just about everything perfect, is so good and reliable, this Rt is probably my favourite bike. Flipping heck I hope you talk yourself out of replacing it with a Rtw. You could end up with a bad case of seller's remorse, you ...

Re: Canada and 24 states ride
Hello from 🇬🇧 I've just read your report and viewed the photos of your amazing journey, 12000 miles in a relatively short time must have been tiring but also very rewarding with jaw dropping scenery. Thanks for sharing it ,good luck and health in your retirement .Hope you have many more journeys on ...

Re: Duration of RT Ownership
I've owned my 2006 Rt from new so that's 18 years with 35000 miles on the clock. I do all the maintenance with oils changed regardless of mileage including a brake fluid change to both wheel and control circuits every 2 years. What do I think of it ? absolutely amazing, as all Rts are thats why we r...

Re: Custom Paint Work
What a stunning paint repair you have managed to get done, finding a paint shop willing to take on the task must have caused you some sleepless nights ! I was considering buying an Iconic a while ago but was put off by the very same reason ,who could repair that wonderful paint finish if required.

Re: Key Barrel
It all depends on how lucky you are, the luggage locks have 6 leafs numbered 1,2 or 3 these are arranged 3 in the top of the barrel and 3 in the bottom of the barrel to suit the coding of the key. It's unlikely the leafs could be rearrange to suit your key .I recently attempted to do what you are as...
