Re: 300 mile range
Oh, ok 1.2x50mpg=60 mpg, so I guess by my calculations I am right there. I tend to fuel up way more often than a 300-mile interval, but seems as if I were to push it.

Re: 300 mile range
Looks like you’re getting 60 mpg … that’s pretty good mileage. I get somewhere around 50 most tanks.

Re: Best All Around Tire For The RT
I am in the United States, so prices are going to be different than you in the United Kingdom.
Here, a set of the Michelin Road 6 GT is maybe $30 to $50 more in price than the Dunlop Roadsmart 4; so not really all that significant of a difference. Frankly if the Michelin was just the Road 6 ...

Re: Best All Around Tire For The RT
You need black, round tires that come with little slash marks all the way around the center.
I haven't seen any formal studies on it, but I think this one you are suggesting may be the most popular option for certain.
But, per the title of this thread, we are here seeking out the "Best" tire ...

Re: Best All Around Tire For The RT
My local BMW Motorrad franchise sold and switched to a different dealership here in my area a couple months back. I had my motorcycle in for a service a couple months ago, was likely among the first that they serviced at the new local. While there I was discussing new tires with the service writer ...

Re: Suggestions Wanted: Engine Guards: 2024 R1250RT
I had my R1250RT serviced this past week. The service writer at the dealership pointed out to me that the Wunderlich front guard I have on it blocks access to a bolt that holds the cylinder head cover on. Not problematic for a 6,000-mile service, but for the 12,000-mile service and the 24,000-mile ...

Ooooh, my shin!
Went on a five hour ride yesterday. Holy smokes! What ached more so than my butt … my left shank. And believe me, my butt was hurting!
Just my left leg, the muscle that runs up and down, close in next to the bone, maybe 10” to 12” below my knee along the outside of my shin bone; just killing me ...

RT Seat
I have an opportunity to purchase a second seat, but not certain it fits and before I make the bid ride to find out, thought I would ask the world wide web ... does anyone know if a 2007 R1200RT seat(s) are one in the same fit as the 2023 R1250RT seat(s)? Is there a way to know?

Re: Hip and Thigh Pain?
Hip flexor group - when we strain something, it sure hurts! You can strengthen as others have mentioned. One hip exercise that can be done in the home with no weights or machines:
Feel free to swing your arms a little as necessary as not to lose your balance; best if you can perform the exercise in ...

Re: Going in to storage.
I have heard that you should put it on the center stand with the idea that it takes the weight off of the tires and suspension.
