Re: Seat Height
If it’s the one-piece seat, options are a bit limited but still doable. Either a low-profile replacement seat or having yours modified is probably the easiest route.

Re: Passenger Seat Angle
Hello
I had the same issue. You can either modify the foam or go for a custom seat build to reduce that forward slope. Makes a big difference for passengers.

Re: Cam head left cam tensioner replacement issue
Yeah that spot is tight. Try turning the bars and unloading the front end slightly, sometimes that gives just enough room. Worst case, you may need to loosen things up around the Telelever pivot.

Re: Out of Season RT Owner
Waiting for better weather is the hardest part. Sounds like you already got a good taste though. Anyway, it's a great bike for long rides once the weather opens up.
Re: New Guy
Nice, welcome aboard. The 1200RT is a great all-rounder and a good bike to have in the garage.

That’s a solid bike. Early 1250s were generally good, i owned one before and the shift cam motor was reliable overall. You might want to make sure everything’s been maintained properly also check if it's had all the dealer services and recalls done.

Re: Anti Seize on Rear tire mount bolts?!
I’ve seen it before, but yeah you don’t want much on there. BMW usually recommends clean and dry or very lightly lubricated threads only. Anti-seize can mess with the torque if overdone so I’d clean the bolts and reinstall them dry or with just a very light touch if you prefer.

You could try Philips X-tremeVision or Sylvania SilverStar Ultra—both offer whiter, brighter light without increasing wattage. Great for low and high beams! If you want to check local availability or delivery zones, this postcode resource might help.
