Re: Can you suggest a code reader
Just this passed week I purchased the Moto Scan app & MX+ OBD II dongle.
I was able pair new TPMS sensors and bleed the ABS part of the brake system. Next to set the service reminder because I changed oil & filter in November before hibernation. I also had to buy the adapter cable for 10 pin to 16 ...

Finally completed some work on the RT.
End of season in Nov it was due for a front tire and TPMS sensors were dying. Its a 2015 R1200RT. I bought the bike last Oct 25 with 28,000 miles on it. Don't know if the sensors are original or not. Bought some schrader replacements from Woodys Wheels. $39 ea ...

Re: Windshield choice
Bought a 2015 R1200rt in late August 2025.
The stock windshield put the airflow directly into my eyes in position to see over it.
decided I needed one with a back flip at the upper edge.
Purchased a 7Jurock, the lower one for $250.00.

Re: Ulez compliance
Wow what a sinister scheme to tax people for being conservative in their choice of transport. Hell go buy a $30 or $40,000 touring bike like those that can afford it. Like that will never happen. Politicians will ring every last nickel out of you and the less nickels you have the more they want them.

Re: Start in gear
Good news. Pulled the clutch swith this morning. There was dirt and lint behind the two micro switches. These handle bar switches and levers get dirty and wet. Had the throttle off yesterday because it had some drag to it. Most of it came frome the housing where the heated grip wires run. Put some ...

Start in gear
This new to me 2015 r1200rt will not start in gear with clutch pulled and kick stand up.
Bad clutch switch. Seems this would be dangerous if you stalled in traffic.

Introduction
Purchased a 2015 BMW r1200rt w/28,000 miles. Sold a 2016 Honda ST1300PA w/27,000 miles. The best part is the bmw is 120 lbs lighter. Exactly what I was looking for. Put 309 miles on it so far and gets better and more comfortable every ride.
