flashing (break failure) light is normal right when bike is started?

Hello all, I'm new to the forum and a new owner of a 2009 R1200RT.  Purchased the bike with a fuel gauge not working, You tubed it and fixed it with the lighter technique (crazy but worked).


Just to verify when I start the bike the break failure light flashes until I put in gear and take off then stays off.  Just making sure this is normal?

Yes, this is quite normal whilst the system completes a rolling self diagnosis check.
