I have a Michelin Road 4 on the rear. It came with the bike and I have no idea how many miles are on it (at least 9k miles). Since I ride in Texas the side walls don't get much wear
I am about to leave for a short trip of about 2k miles. Can I make it safely?

Re: Tyre Wear question?
Here are some examples of tyres which look good on the side but not the centre.
There is no way I would set off to do 2K miles on your PR4.

Re: Tyre Wear question?
Thanks, I will be ordering a Road 6 today.
That tyre has looked like that since I bought the bike. There hasn't been any change. Still no cord showing through. But pictures of new Road 4 don't show a lot of tread in the center either
I just needed an independent view as I have a lot of Scott blood on my mother's side
