Hello.
I am expecting a 'new to me' RT-P next Thursday and am itching to ask various questions which will probably be obvious when I have it in front of me. It's a '64' plate so 2014 but I think it's the version that ended in 2014, not started in 2014 if that makes sense.
I think the two things I'm going to want to get to the bottom of are:
a) can I mount a phone (to act as SatNav) above the clocks or bottom of screen?
b) can I get power to whatever I mount there?
For (b) I'm definitely going to have to have a look when it's here as I'm not sure what impact having had police electrics added and then removed will have had.
Here's a picture of it sent to me by the seller anyway...

The answer to both your questions is 'yes'. There are various mounting options for nav mounts above the clocks which could accommodate a phone mount. There's also a spare aux plug underneath the clocks to power accessories. Search the site, there's plenty of information already discussed
The GS 'is' the better bike :-)

I've got the BMW mount my 2012 RT.
There is a switched GPS power connection near the headstock which can be used.
(The one with the white connector in it).
