I’m putting my Carpuride W502B Pro up for sale soon as I’ve managed to get my Tomtom to stop interrupting and ‘bong bong-ing’ with the sat nav notifications.
Bought in Dec ‘24 but not used until the sun shone, so new and used maybe six times, but too technical for my aged faculties.
PM me if interested, I’ll put an add up in the For Sale bit when I get time. It’ll be £125.

So I installed the navigation. Looks wonderful, fits great. I can't seem to change the layout from Android Auto. The buttons are at the bottom while I want them on the left side. I have this layout in the car, so it should be possible. But how?
Does anybody know how to change this?

So I’ve been playing with the W502b on my 1250rt, first impressions are it’s to small to see properly but I really only bought it out of curiosity, I use an iPhone 15 so it’s CarPlay, at first I couldn’t get any audio at all for music or maps etc so a quick google said to change the BT option and that seemed to work, now when I say scroll left or right that doesn’t work, any ideas ?.
2, unit boots up when ignition turns on instantly but when pressing the starter it shuts down and then reboots, any fix for that annoyance ?.
3, any way to have the maps voice louder without increasing music volume ?. I’ve tried upping the sena srl whilst she’s talking but then music is to loud

Also the only screen protector I can see online is from Germany….

Question on the Carpuride. I see now there is an adapter for the 7” Carpuride sold on EBay and wondered about the cabling in the pictures, is that part of the Carpuride or part of the existing mount that comes from within the bike dash area that’s hidden? Anyone have a link to a you tube video perhaps that shows the install of the system or installation instructions? Thanks! ~Stew

Here is another take, similar to what VR46 did in an earlier post:
I was disappointed with the small screen on the Garmin (ZUMO 660) and really wanted Apple car play for mapping on the bike. I wasn’t concerned with music to the bike stereo or Wonder wheel operation.
Here is my solution: I Purchased a Carpuride C92 from Amazon ($118.00 US in March 2025 price is down to $85.00 US as of end of April). It’s not waterproof and doesn’t have forward facing camera. As this was an exercise in “proof of concept” I wasn’t concerned about either option. It does have a backup camera which I haven’t installed yet. For the price point I wasn’t expecting a lot and if it didn’t work I wouldn’t be out much. To date I’ve been very pleased with its performance, fit and function. It has 9.3” viewable area, powered by USB-C cable delivering 2.0 Amps. For the mount, I wanted to create one that would use the existing factory GPS mount for a sterile look and feel.
With an engineering education and experience 3D modeling in SolidWroks as well as a 3D printer I went to work.
The base snaps into the factory GPS mount on the bike and ball fits in the cup of the mount that is included with the display. A brass heat set nut was installed in the ball and a 6mm aIlen headed bolt tightens it all together. There are two small O-rings used to create some friction and mild dampening within the mount.
"Ball.jpg" and Main Mount.jpg show the model parts and part2.jpg shows the assembled mount.
I used ASA/CF (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate) material to print the mount. This is Carbon Fiber reinforced ASA. This material is similar to ABS with very good weather and UV protection. Also, it looks better in a matt finish IMHO which the CF provides. Most users with 3D printers should be familiar with this material.
Part3.jpg is the back side of the display with the mount attached.
This display is powered from a USB-C cable at 2.0A. I tried using the USB outlet in the right glove box but it would not work, the display would continually power cycle. I suspect due to marginal current. I added a surface mounted USB-C port in the right glove box. It’s hardwired to the DIN power socket on the right side. The USB cable exit’s the glove box via rubber grommet and routes behind the dash and exit’s next to the GPS mount.
Items of NOTE:
To power the display, I installed a switchable USB-C surface mount adapter. It is powered from the DIN socket (hardwired in) on the right side of the fairing. I can manually switch when the ports are on or off. The power adapter is in the right “Glove box”. With the USB connector and audio port already in that box is not good for much of anything anyway. I punched a hole on the inboard side of the box and ran the USB cable through a rubber grommet. The USB-C able runs behind the dash and comes out next to the GPS mount. I used a cable with a 90 degree end so you do not see the cable when connected.
This display is NOT waterproof. Some of the Carpuride ones are but this one is not. I live in the desert so rain is rarely an issue. Reviewers have complained about the audio quality but as mentioned audio is not an issue for me, won’t us it. So far I'm very pleased with the exercise. This does not work with the Wonder-wheel!
Rode to work this AM and could see the map just fine even in the rising morning sun. Full sun in the afternoon was even better. For my sub $130 investment and some time with the 3D printer I could be happier. If anyone has access to a 3D printer and wants the STL files I am happy to share them for free. :cheers:

These printers are brilliant at what they can make. The nearest I got to them was a lathe
