As the the sun was out, went for a bimble around Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire. Only one road closure on my planned route (police had shut the A418 at Bierton) so had a small detour.
Enjoyed a very pleasant lunch in Newton's Coffee Shop (which I can recommend) in Newton Longville.
Lovely blue skies and not too much traffic, until I got back into Oxfordshire and the dreaded A34.
A lovely 178 miles and a "smile per mile"! I love this weather - more please!

Put some flags up
Well done. We salute those who put their own lives in danger and stopped that vile man from taking us over in WW2. Sadly, I think I will never see world peace in my lifetime.
Trust me I am a retired Doctor and lecturer at Oxford University of Structural and Mechanical/Electrical engineering. May the shaft be with you

Lucky bugger … where you off
4 day bimble round the Ardennes.
Staying in Givet. A hotel next to the restaurant that myself, Michael and Simbo went to on last years european RT ride out. They'll probably remember it as the place that I chucked my toys out of the pram because they stopped serving lunch 5 minutes before we got there.
