Backstory: I bought a 2019 1250RT LE about a year ago, but have only just had occasion to have a look at the battery as I intended to wire in a lead for an Optimate. Having removed the side panel, I found that there were 7 electric leads fitted directly to each of the battery terminals already, which is bloody ridiculous.
I therefore ordered a Fuzeblock from Nippy Normans, which should be delivered on Monday. I've never tried to fit one of these before, but having downloaded the instructions, it seems quite straightforward, even for a numpty like me. I reckon that as long as I don't cut into any wiring to fit the trigger wire, I should be OK.
I telephoned a mate who has a 1200, and he told me that his bike has an accessory socket with a purple wire going into it, which will do the trick, and which pokes out from the back of the petrol tank.
Needless to say, I took the riders seat off today to have a look, and there is no socket to be found. Or any purple wires come to that.
Does anyone know if there are any suitable spare sockets nearby that I could wire a trigger wire into?

The accessory socket may not have enough power to run some things. IRC it has a max of 10A. I fitted a fusebox meant for boats. I ran one live and one negative cable to the box directly from the battery. A lot neater than having lots of wires to the battery
Trust me I am a retired Doctor and lecturer at Oxford University of Structural and Mechanical/Electrical engineering.

There should be an accessory socket on the right hand fairing that you can use

Couldn't find any sockets under the seats. I'm a bit ham fisted, and I can see me breaking something if I try and prise of bits of fairing.
I think I'll end up taking it to an auto electrician and make it someone else's problem.
