Hello everyone!
I recently acquired a Vantrue Falcon F1 dash cam and am looking to install it on my 2023 R1250 RT. I would greatly appreciate if anyone could share their experiences or tips related to this setup. Previously, I have installed Clearwater lights on this bike, including the Billie brake light, although I found it quite challenging in spite of their clear instructions. But in the end I'm satisfied that I did a good job.
For the dash cam installation, I am specifically interested in the following:
1. Optimal locations for mounting the front camera.
2. Suggestions for placing the control unit, especially considering the limited space under the seat and the need for effective heat dissipation.
3. Advice on where and how to connect to the ACC switched power wire.
4. Any other installation tips you might have.
I've previously installed a very basic dashcam on my 2011 RT, which was a fun project. Given the advancements in technology and quality, I'm eager to see how the Falcon F1 performs.
Thank you in advance for your help!

Re: Installing Vantrue Falcon F1 Dash Cam on an R1250RT
Hi there Coopster, I just ordered a Vantrue F1 to install on my '21 RT and was wondering where you placed the control unit and how you connected the ACC wire. Did you use a hub? And please let me know if you have any other suggestions that could make the install easier and better. Thank you.
