Throttle Response Adjustment on 1250RT
Throttle Response Adjustment on 1250RT
Has anyone tried to adjust throttle response on 1250RT by accessing the software on the bike? The throttle response feels soft (I am already in the Dynamic mode). Other bikes like my Indian or Harley allow you to adjust throttle response to make it super sensitive (very small twist results in instant acceleration). I read other posts about how BMW made throttle response on 1250 softer vs. 1200 to make it easier in slow maneuvering. I am wondering if anyone tried to hook up the bike to a computer and change the throttle response mapping? Is that possible?

Re: Throttle Response Adjustment on 1250RT
I couldn't think of anything worse than making the throttle snatchy!
A nice linear throttle action is how it should be for perfect control
You won't be able to change it within the ECU and its certainly not adjustable within the settings
I think your best bet is either a power commander or an ECU remap

Re: Throttle Response Adjustment on 1250RT
Hi
Not snatchy but quicker so the start is still the same but as you open wider then that accelerates the rate of opening of the throttle body. |Meaning you get to full throttle a little bit sooner
Sort of if now in dynamic mode as you twist it is 10% 25% 40% 55% 70% 85% 100% you get 10% 30% 50% 70% 90% 100% so you achive full throttle just a little bit sooner less twist but still retain the same response at minimal openings
With cable throttles you could add a zip tye under the cable at the throttle grip wasnt brilliant but on some bikes it made a difference
