Howdy folks, I'm new here... I picked up a 2005 BMW R1200RT a couple months ago. Next summer I'm planning to ride across America from Seattle to South Carolina to the BMW Performance Center to take an on/off riding course learning about those GS bikes. In the meantime, I'm looking for good options to mount an iPhone 17 Pro Max onto my RT. I've been looking at different options. Quad Lock doesn't seem to have any options for my bike. Anyone have any ideas and suggestions on what I should try. I'd like to have my phone mounted in front of me and hopefully plugged in for power too.

I have the Ram Mount X Grip. My iPhone is the 12 Pro. The previous owner of my 2005 RT drilled a hole on the top of the black dash just under the windshield. The Ram Mount ball along with a 1”arm and XGrip works very well for me. The ball mount isnt centered. It is offset to the rider’s left. The previous owner also installed a 2nd source for power closer to the dash and used this to charge while on the road. It works well. The XGrip is the mount I have used since 2010 on all my Harleys. I transfer it to my BMW from my Road Glide whenever I take the Beamer out for the day. It has never lost a phone or had a phone come out of its perch using it. I trust it fully.
