WhatzIt?

Post by Randyjaco »

Today I replaced the air cleaner on my 2017 RT. While removing the right gas tank faring and the right locking cubby; a part I have never noticed befor, dropped to the floor. I can't figure out where it came from, but I sure that it is something vital ;)
Anybody know what it is and where it goes?

TIA

Wow, 33 viewers and no takers ;)
I started looking at the part with a magnifing glass and found the faint number 0908 10 70 90R
That doesn't even look like a BMW number :(

That is one of the airfilter box clips. It is found where the air tube clips to the airbox. These are molded to the tube, so perhaps this has broken off
Trust me I am a retired Doctor and lecturer at Oxford University of Structural and Mechanical/Electrical engineering.
May the shaft be with you

I guess it could be, but I shure don't see where it attaches?
It clips to something somewhere. There is no evidence of it being glued or screwed, just snapped in place,
