Thanks I was told it’ll be open surgery with another general anaesthetic and overnight stay, they also need to ‘ switch me off’ which complicates things and involves cardiology .

It was the Ashburton est by Putney Heath. Lived there from when i was 4 years old to 17 years old. After this i moved on my own to Winstanley est, Battersea, opposite the heliport. Was only there for a couple of months. Then to digs at Oxford.I loved the mix of people there, but Putney was the best. Attended Elliot school on the Est. Best years of my life

I had families of 2 uncles living in New Addington, and another in Addington, I started life living in an Ifield council house, then dad joined a self-build group in Crawley, 2 years after the house was built we moved to Cornwall in 1968.

New Addington was where I was raised,King Henry's Drive.In one of the prefabs.Lived there from 76(old man demobbed from army/Hannover,was a bloody shock at first) till I saw the light and buggered off the the Isle of Wight in 1990.Then I saw the light again some years later and moved to Basildon(which is far better than people give it credit for)Still live in a council house in a decent area.Although the demographics of council life is so far away from mine growing up as a kid.As said before,wouldn't change it for anything,great life

Wifey also attended Elliot, 1968-75 (she says Norman was the best!). She also worked with her Mum in The Ranger Pub on the Ashburton, and sometimes left her horse in the back garden there .

I was a sexy Saxon. The Ranger was directly at the end of my road. IRC I was there until 79. I was only 4 in 1968. My mum used to be a school cleaner at the school as the same time as me. The problem was if i bunked off she knew the same evening.
The only real class I liked was technical studies. I drew a bridge with all the data for strength, materials, and movement. I got detention for that as they thought I copied it. They said a 13 year old kid wouldn't know how to work it out. My parents complained to the head. He told me to sit in his office for the next 2 afternoons and do the same, but for a tower crane. I proved them wrong and drew blueprints of a 75 ton crane.
They couldn't work out how i could do it as they same i was rubbish at maths. This was before calculators were out. They had it checked out, and i was spot on with the figures.
These two drawings got me into Oxford Uni.
I'm still mediocre at maths.

No, I didn't. There are only 2 people I really remember. 1 was Mike Brewer, yes, the one on TV. He was an asshole. Full of himself. Met up with him a few years ago at a show, and he was still up his own ass, and lovely Caroline G, with whom I lost my virginity to.

You put it better than i could. I watched a video on YT. He was talking about his life growing up. He forgot that people like me, who knew him for over 10 years. The video was full of lies. He said Vans sponsored him for a skateboarding team and travelled all over Europe. 5 mates at 16 decided to go to France for a week. He was the only one without a passport.
I don't mind the little white lies now and then, but he was constant.

Drove 300 km round trip with trailer to see this decent 2005 Suzuki DL1000 which turned out to have the dreaded clutch basket problem.

Well, I bit the bullet and coughed up £1.60/l for some Esso Premium (E5). I then used some of that for a trundle around the Oxfordshire villages, as the sun was out and blue skies abounded. I don't like to miss out on these days, they are not frequent enough! The temperature of 22C was real "Goldilocks" - just right. I could do without the 20 mph limits everywhere and the potholes, but these are just some of life's "little challenges" to be overcome. I enjoyed the ride and most of the roads that I used were nicely devoid of traffic. Perhaps the fuel price increase has a silver lining?

I am not letting the price increases preventing me from riding my BMW - that's why I bought it and "time is ticking"! I can always give up eating, if things get tight and I have a kidney available to sell....LOL!

BTW, I'm getting a regular 65 mpg from the R1250RT - perhaps those 20 mph limits help?

Received new windshield yesterday from Fechter.de.

Installed the National Cycle VStream Z2401 today and went for a coffee ride. I'm 6'2" with seat in highest position and the Z2401 is spot on for me.

So that was the hernia done on Monday up under general anaesthetic, they let me home in the evening ( once I could pee) as they didn’t need to turn off my defibrillator, I was glad not to have to stay a night as they told me.
4 days on and plenty of painkillers and it’s still uncomfortable and now my balls are purple and swollen to . Yesterday I took my first and it was excruciating!, it’s a downside to anaesthetic that’s for sure .

Won’t be driving for a while and unlikely to be using the RT for a while.

After the wife spending the day in hospital with me on the Monday she gets a call Tuesday to say that her uncles neighbor found him lying on the bathroom floor in his bungalow and it appears he was there 24 plus hours…. So back in hospital the wife goes as she’s next of kin. The ambulance crew take him straight in and it appears he’s broken his femur, yesterday they already have him walking and once his bungalow has been made safer he will be returning home. He’s 90, lives on his own and doesn’t like company or visitors and can barely talk from a stroke he had years ago.
The wife bless her is going into his bungalow this morning to give it a good clean and change the bedding etc, I feel useless as I can’t help as I’m not allowed to lift anything .
