Drain plug oring sizes

Post by on2wheels »

After joining different forums since I bought my first BMW last week, I don't see much chatter about places to buy the orings for the different drain plugs on BMWs. Do people just buy them from the dealer and never talk about it? Seems like they're the harder part to find rather than oil and filters, but honestly I've not even looked yet.
I have one or two retail places I can buy oil and filters from and haven't been there yet to ask about orings. I know the RT uses an oring on the rear end drain plug and that it is suggested to be changed every time, but even youtubers never say where they buy them from. Being in Canada it's not as convenient to be buying from the various youtuber stores.
Does anyone know the exact dimensions of the oring to buy?

I don’t know the dimensions of the o-ring, but I buy all my maintenance items from beemerboneyard.com (https://www.beemerboneyard.com/). Their maintenance kits include the necessary washers and o-rings. Hope this helps, safe travels.
