Would really like to get hold of this. I suppose shipping to the UK would be prohibitively expensive, assuming of course that you even wanted the aggravation?

I appreciate your interest! I am certainly open to shipping to the UK and am happy to handle the logistics on this end. While international shipping can be more involved, we can use a service like DHL or FedEx for a streamlined process.MarkW wrote: Mon Jan 19, 2026 10:25 am Would really like to get hold of this. If you can provide your postal code, I will get a few quotes for you so we can determine if the total cost works for your budget. I’ll also look into any potential VAT or customs duties so there are no surprises.
PM me.

Re: Sargent Seat for BMW R1200RT
Well, to say I am disappointed would be something of an understatement.
The last communication from you was on Feb 10 when you confirmed receipt of funds into your bank, and a promise to keep me updated via email regarding the shipping. Since then - complete radio silence! Would love to know what's going on, but I suppose at this point I must resign myself to probably never seeing the seat (or a refund).
I pride myself on always assuming the best of people, and am happy to say that in my 69 years I have had very very few instances when that has proven to be a mistake. Perhaps this is one of those occasions, or perhaps something has happened beyond your control that has prevented you either communicating with me or completing the sale. It currently appears likely I will never know.

His bike details look rather strange too. A 2016 RT1250? The earliest 1250 was 2018 I believe.

Also suspicious that most of his new posts are welcoming new members. A cunning tactic to improve post count and make his profile look more mature than it really is.
How did you send the payment? Perhaps it's recoverable?

I have only just seen this and if it turns out that @Nataliedad98 has taken the money and ran then let me know if you want all the associated IP addresses for this account just in case you want to involve the police etc

Re: Sargent Seat for BMW R1200RT
Thanks for all the replies. I think I must be philosophical about this and write it off to experience, after all, we're not talking about a life changing sum of money. If it was a deliberate scam then frankly it was an odd way of going about things - I mean, why would he confirm receipt of the money (paid by bank transfer btw) if there was no intention of sending the item? You would just disappear as soon as it hit his account surely?
Stu, I appreciate the offer but I don't think there's any point in involving the authorities in any way, and to be honest I'm not sure I'd know where to start. One thing I would be interested in, is knowing if the information you have (name, email etc) in any way lines up with the info he gave me to facilitate payment. Would that be possible, or do we run into major privacy issues?
