Bought an Abba Skylift

Actually purchased 2nd hand a while ago, but it took me ages to get a mate to drop in and help me set it up, in the end I bribed him coffee and cake which worked a treat.

Once we’d worked out the obligatory ‘what goes where’ stuff it was actually very simple to fit it onto (into?) the bike, which remained rock steady even on my sloping drive.

Dunno that I’d fancy paying top dollar for it, but there’s no shortage of 2nd hand ones on EBay or bike forums around the £300 mark. New they’re between £478.95 – £706.99

I haven’t got enough space in my garage to fit a conventional bike ramp, so this was a better option for me.
Well engineered, very sturdy, steady, and surprisingly heavy, it surpassed my expectations.

I did toy with the idea of an Abba Skylift,went to their factory as it's only up the road.To be fair they did offer me a good discount if I bought direct (in person)from the factory.I bought 1 of the stand thingies they do(when I had the VFR1200) It didn't really do anything as it was still virtually on the ground.Then she bought me a ramp from Machine Mart on 1 of there vat free promotions. Couldn't be without it now

You are a lucky man. I have been looking for a used one for years. I finally just bought a conventional lift. Just got tired of crawling around on the ground.

Would love a ramp. Makes life easy fiddling with the lower parts and removing the wheels. Nearly had one for nothing a few years ago. Problem, it turned out to be a 3-phase supply, so that went out the window. The bike shop shut down, and i saw all their ramps in a ship.
But a ramp and a compressor are still on my wish list to slip in so the wife doesn't see them.
