I have now changed to a 1250R from the white 1250RT. It is not as nice to ride, but I am finding it more manageable at low speeds and that is what matters to me at the moment. I'm looking forward to my first continental trip on it at the end of July. I guess the motorways are going to be harder work!

I've also gone down the 1250R route after 3 GS's and loving it. For 90% of my riding, which is a couple of hundred miles on a Sunday on A & B roads in good weather I'm finding it perfect for the job. Mine came with a sport screen which is just a small fly screen basically, but it gives you the option to fit something a bit bigger for longer motorway journeys. We've got a week in the Pico's booked for late August early September so I've got an MRA Vario screen on it which does a great job of reducing the amount of wind blast at motorway speeds for the trip down to Plymouth, once in the Pico's I'll put the sport screen back on and enjoy being in the wind to keep me cool.
