I found that the K3 works far better than the K7. The K3 is still being sold so that might be an option.

I recently fitted a dash cam to my car and found that at 2k definition numberplates were unreadable.
I upgraded the resolution to 4k and it made all the difference.
I'll hold off getting one for now, until the resolution is workable.

Hi Ribcracker, several key factors determine whether a 2K camera can clearly capture license plates, and it's not just about resolution.
While 2K resolution (2560*1440) can render license plates clearly, sufficient pixel density is also necessary. To easily assess whether a 2K camera can capture license plates effectively, you should consider the sensor. For instance, if you need excellent nighttime performance, you might want to look for a sensor like the Sony IMX415, which has supplemental lighting but may cause license plate glare.
The INNOVV K7 utilizes the Sony IMX335 sensor, distinguishing it from many budget 2K cameras that often promote 2K as a selling point. There can be significant differences between various 2K cameras, so it's essential to consider other hardware parameters as well. Sony's dominance in the camera industry is one reason why INNOVV uses the Sony Starvis series, ensuring reliable imaging quality.
