There are some serious bugs in this software so I hope any release does a proper job. My dealer was told by BMW that they didn’t expect a release before March and I think that was a sign of the depth of concern they had about how bad the software had become.

Turns out that it was a complete waste of time. I assume the workshop guys are bored during winter time and to raise their utilization they spent some warranty cash to play around with my bike. No update only another try to get the existing version to work. No surprise that the indicator setting was already inactive by when I took my bike.

Hello All,
I hava a 2022 R1250RT and this summer had the typical Emergency call issue. They restore all the software and since then I have the comfort turn indicator issue.
In my case, I also notice that the ACC recover type (comfort or dynamic) also restores automatically to comfort like the turn indicator.
Hope it will be solved with new update so I can call the dealer and set an appointment.

I am getting used to this now and am sceptical that BMW have the capability to write reliable software - at least for the RT. My routine now before starting is
1 turn comfort indicator on
2 reset trip computer.
3 set TFT to split screen then the tricky process of getting maps up using connected ride. At least that works pretty reliably now.
The bugs get worse with each update. I think there are a raft of system issues coming from this latest bug.
1 comfort Turn resets after a few idle hours.
2 trip computer doesn’t reset when set to auto reset
3 trip computer if set to auto reset will randomly reset to zero Km part way through a ride while in motion
4 mode Dynamic Comfort reset on some bikes
5 Radio reset (don’t use it so can’t confirm)
6 TFT returns to full screen if set to split. Happens at same time as comfort turn reset.
7 Menu position defaults back to first menu position when these resets occur. Normal behaviour is to remember and stay on the top menu last used. Eg Nav or System etc
Any others?

This is interesting... I had set this up and went to the dealer to ask why it's not working, we went into the settings and it was not checked! Thought it was but the logic is misleading and I thought I had set it up earlier properly?!? Now I know I'm going bloody psycho mad! Haw. I've been riding a 1985 K100RT since new with over 300K miles on the clock. It's Auto cancel turn signals were brilliant! See what the owners manual says... I've petitioned BMW to consider this as an option since they are rewriting the SW. I think they use the on board AHRS sensor that senses lean angle to do this function, a lot more complicated than what they had that worked brilliantly a long time ago!!
About 15 years ago, a very experienced airhead rider got into a pretty good accident when someone pulled out in front of him after he was absorbed in riding and forgot to cancel. He said after that he just didn't use them anymore. I don't agree, but maybe if I had survived after something like that, I may agree as well on that :fix".
In my opinion, this is should be a safety recall given how worried BMW about safety. this is a safety critical item in my opinion. It should work as the manual states....
My bike 2024 R1250RT - Purchased in late Sept 2024...
1985 K100 manual no software upgrade for this and it works since 1985....
"The left or right turn indicators are cancelled automatically after a certain time or distance if this is not done by pressing
