Went round cotswolds today and watched vintage car hill climb. Also met another member at Burford leading eclectic bunch of bikes and well done to the Harley for splitting stationary traffic in Burford, loud pipes come in handy.

You have less choice now Doc, it looks like Whiteways has finished being a cafe/car park, apparently the new owner has other plans.

Yeah, on the site, it says they were trying to renew the contract, but last year the owners told me that the Lord of the manor wanted to build an upmarket restaurant there
There is a new bikers cafe in the old pub by the traffic light by Loomies. Haven't tried it yet. It never seems to have many bikes parked there.
Personally, i prefer parking up in a country lane with a flask and enjoying the views.

Yeah, the old pub at the West Meon Hut… now a upmarket coffee place. It looks a bit too posy for the likes of us, and recent reviews aren’t that good.

I know the place, Steve. Don't like these flashy cafes. I find the more you pay, the crapper the coffee is.
There is a small cafe by Ducton Mill that welcomes bikers. It's on a farm, but the gravel drive is a bit rough. No bacon or burgers for sale

I've just finished laying new floorboards in the large bedroom. Next week, the boss wants the ceiling skimmed. May pay someone to do this, as last time i did it i had more plaster on my face than on the wall

There is an underlay and carpet over the boards now. I've booked a plasterer now. Sort of mates rates. £400 to do both bedroom ceilings.
Anyway, rode to Loomies yesterday.. Had the best ground beef burger and chips I've had in a long time. Coffee is not bad either.
It seems that there are more speed and noise traps on the route.

What I did last Friday… left home at 5am for Bristol southmeads for my partial nephrectomy on my right kidney for a cancer.
Some bad bits and some good, the good being told the op went well and they were confident they got it all, I won’t go into the bad. A surgeon used robots for the op, 5 holes and an incision to remove the lesion which was stitched.

Arrived home at 6pm on Sunday, sore and have some side effects which I hope stop soon but glad it’s over, my wife came with me and stayed in a local hotel then drove us home, thankful for her.

Hopefully recovery goes ok without complications!. It’ll be spring at least before I’ll be even looking at the RT again .

My wife is going through the same thing. 6 OPs this year. 2 for cancer of the bowel and another for cancer in her neck. They too were by a robot. I was allowed to watch behind a glass panel. It was like Edward Scissorhands or Doc Octopus.
She's in again on November 18th for another cancer OP. The woman is strong-willed, with nothing getting her down, but she is a pain due to being a retired nurse
