Re: UK Annual Meet 2025
Totally agree with John, David you do yourself no favors...
I take it you and your friends will be doing a different route and start point on the Friday from Chesterfield, as personally I don't want to ride with you

Chesterfield is a good place from which to ride through the Peak District.
I've been to Mathewson's at Thornton-le-Dale, Saltburn by the Sea & Masham.

So if not coming for drink or meal or both of the group rides why are you bothering? Words fail me.

Re: UK Annual Meet 2025
Was hoping to meet up with some of the new guys but unfortunately, two of them can't make it.
Therefore, my plans have changed.

Looks like the weather gods are on our side
slightly damp on Thursday to keep the wet wipes home
, Friday is looking nice for the ride to Thirsk
, Saturday
for the annual 'forum' ride
where friends get together and have a good time

It looks like Markus & I will be doing Simbo's (Friday) route from Chesterfield to Thirsk in reverse today (Thursday).
See you at Chesterfield.

Re: UK Annual Meet 2025
The ride down was rather dull and unispiring. Looking forward to the ride back home tomorrow through the Peak District and Yorkshire Dales.
Called in at The Olde House to say hello to Michael, Simbo, Darren, John & Tim. Markus & I are staying at the Premier Inn nearby.
Have a good night all, see you again in the morning for 10am.

Re: UK Annual Meet 2025
Sorry folks, but I can't make it this weekend
. Something else has come up, which I need to attend
.
I'm really disappointed, as I was looking forward to meeting up with like-minded folk. I hope that something similar will be taking place next year and I promise to do better to attend
.
Hope that you all have a great trip and a good time together
.

How can you say the ride down was dull and unispiring when you stated it was Simbos route you used??? Rude.David. wrote: ↑Thu May 29, 2025 6:59 pm The ride down was rather dull and unispiring. Looking forward to the ride back home tomorrow through the Peak District and Yorkshire Dales.

You called in to see us all but your weren't invited and nobody spoke to you.
As previously stated we don't want to ride with you tomorrow.
However it was a pleasure to see Markus again and look forward to seeing him on Saturday
