What is this ‘dry weather’ of which you speak??

Everyone has different views on tyres. Max is get good reviews from the states as a long lasting tyres. That's from K1600 owners. But they do a lot of straight road riding.

I know this an old posting, but I thought I'd add this. These are the sport maxx and not the ST model, but it gives you an idea.
Am borrowing my son's 790 Duke at the moment. The bike comes with Maxxis sport tyres as standard. After 1600 miles, they half way though the tread already, so it ain't going to last long. I can say the grip is up with the Racetec 01 and Angles. My son said, " Don't feel ashamed to push the bike into corners. ". Ive pushed the bike from Chichester to Petersfield along S bends and some long bends, faster than I should, and the tyres stuck like glue to the surface.
The thing is you have to warm these tyres up first or your best mate is tarmac.
This afternoon i noticed 2 Hampshire BMW RT had the ST tyres on.
