I’ve just read that a top spec will be around the £30k mark, if that’s correct I wish the new buyers the best of luck getting insurance, as there are reports of some dealers advising prospective buyers of the 1300 GS/A to confirm they can get insurance before buying.
More like Lego designed it

It's too angular for me. As I posted, it looks like something Lego made. I can see the similarity to the sharp edges of a KTM bike. The outgoing model looks more like it was designed in a wind tunnel, you only have to look at the front mudguard, which is smoother and more integrated to the wheel with round, smooth edges. If I can say a more friendly design.

My 1250RT is only a couple of year old, I've added a Sargent seat, lowered foot pegs, raised bars, a touring screen, and am now looking into a mount for my phone as the bikes nav set up is frustrating me of late, no idea what happened, last year it was ok, took it out this year and it's like they have updated it to be crap

The new one is just not enough ahead of the old one, there were so many opportunities to make this bike genuinely better, and I don't think BMW ticked a single one of the boxes on my wish list

No back lit controls?
No variable ride height for low speed stability?
No significant gain in flexibility?
No proper sat nav or apple car play - we all know the current system is tragic
No adjustable handle bars?
No adjustable foot pegs?
