It doesn't matter how many Arais I've had I always think I've broken something when I change the visor.

Yes agree, I have to be quite brutal when changing visors too.

It’s definitely a ‘technique’. I’m very envious watching the guys at the TT racers pitstops changing the Arai visors… it’s a kind of ‘Clack clack’ sound that lasts about 3 seconds, then Hey Presto new visors fitted!

I removed mine to wash it this afternoon, took me about 30 seconds, most of which was trying to release the side pods, putting it back together was an another matter and took far longer!

Does anyone here wear the Shoei GT Air-2? I live in a pretty desert hot climate, and was wondering if the added ventilation is worth the added noise levels?
Just gimme just a second here … I am configuring it to “launch mode”! :o

I have a GT Air 2.

Our climate is not hot up here so I cannot say how it works in hot weather but in my opinion ventilation is good. And this helmet is rather quiet and very comfortable. With double D-rings it would be perfect.

Set yourself a price, then spend an afternoon in a shop. That's what I did, then searched the web and got a better price. When I bought my Bell helmet, it wasn't on my list, but it turned out to have a better fit. A word of warning on the helmet. If you forget to close the vents in the winter, you get brain freezes. The vent under the visor is only to demist the visor and not direct air to your mouth. Bit pointless as they come with a pinlock.
