BMW R1200RT/R1250RT Forum

I just became a victim of soft cams on my 17 RT. I took it to the local dealer to see if they could get BMW to cover the known problem. Well, no joy. The dealer estimate is $5.4K for the repair.
I am a competent M/C mechanic and looking for a cheaper way to get my bike back on the road. I need 8 followers and 2 cam shafts. The cams here are @$690 each. The followers are @$160 each. That's a mere 2,085 Quid

Are there any businesses in the UK or anywhere that offer discount BMW engine parts? I am looking for new parts, not used. Used is my third option, but I can get those here in the States. The followers are going to have to be new.

Thanks, but they are only showing used parts. I will probably end up with used cams, but I really need those new DLC followers rather than the old followers, which are most likely the root cause of the problem.
