Need new battery

In New Hampshire, low 30s F, getting gas bike wouldn't turn over, symptoms of weak battery, bike sat for thirty minutes then started. Battery is OE
and almost three years old. Has been showing some signs of being weak. Opinions wanted on getting lithium instead of OE lead/acid type.

Thanks,
Billy

Lithium batteries don't like cold weather. If you just switch the bike on and hit the starter you might be disapointed with the result. In cold weather they need to draw a bit power first to warm them up. Put your lights or heated grips on, anything to wake it up, then the bike will start just fine.

Another consideration with Lithium batteries is that whilst they do have a larger CCC (Cold Cranking Ampage which help starting) than regular batteries, they often have a lower amp hour rating. That isn't a significant problem if you don't run any accessories with your engine off, however if you do, the charge in the battery won't last as it would in lead acid or AGM battery.
