Adding a TomTom Sat Nav.

Hi All
Just looking for a bit of advice regarding The Sat Nav on my 2024 RT LE. I lead rides for my local Advanced riders group and therefore require a dependable SAT NAV. Because the bike uses the BMW Connected app through the phone im Guessing that the connection and therefore the Sat Nav could be a bit intermittent. I cant say for sure because the bike only got delivered on Thursday 19th Dec and I have not ridden it yet. I Traded my GS for this bike and I used a Tomtom Rider 550 on that bike. I have ordered the connections and fittings to attach the Tomtom but I know that I will need to connect a power source to the Nav Holding device. Has anyone on here done that ? and are there any complications that I should be aware of?
