Greetings ALL,
Just picked up a 2021 R 1250 RT Sport a couple days ago and was immediately snowed-in here in the 'we're-so-far-south-we-don't-do-snow-removal' belt. It's okay, it's given me time to go through it with the manual and sort a few things out. Also gave opportunity to make adjustments that should help keep me comfortable in the saddle. An important fact...This is my first touring bike. I've had a Yamaha Royal Star Tour Classic which was a nice reliable bike but was WAY more cruise than tour and taught me I am NO cruiser. Over the years I've had the CBR 1000, CB1100F, Seca 750, Seca 650, Nighthawk S.....all S/sport bikes,I prefer the upright seating to the easy chair.
I'm an old retired Navy guy getting ready to leave career 2 and hopefully, have some fun riding with friends. This RT is a step into a whole new world for me and the research into things like Headsets, GPS, Heated clothing...etc takes me to Forums...I look forward to talking with some of you in the months ahead.
Cheers!!
