I just missed out on buying a beautiful Iconic today

I'm looking to get an RT (I had one a few years ago and want another now), and saw a gorgeous Iconic in an advertisement last night, but when I rang the dealer this morning to negotiate he was already dealing with someone in the actual showroom. Dealer rang me back a couple of hours later to tell me it had gone to the other buyer....
Still, I hope whoever bought it gets to enjoy it :-)

There was one for sale on EBay last week, but it could well have been that one, as I can’t find it now, mileage was quite low, and wanted just under £9k if I remember right ?
I’ve had mine from new, and still love it

Daft question, maybe, but how much would a respray cost?
Unlike a car everything that needs spraying is unboltable so (provided you do that yourself) you haven't got a big 'masking' cost to deal with and given a couple of paint codes and HD photos any decent paint shop should be able to replicate that paint scheme.
Anyone ever had a custom, but still standard paint job done?

A few years ago, somebody had a GT 1600 painted in the Iconic colour, cost him £3k

Last year I needed a repair on the top box, I really struggled to get it painted locally and a few custom shops didn’t want to touch it, finally got it done in Southampton at Greg’s Custom Paint.

Shame you missed out on it, very nice looking bike.
As for a respray, unless you can do it yourself, it going to cost 1/3 to 1/2 the value of a 2014> R1200RT.
IMO its to much money for a newish bike.
