Bloody Gritters

So i have been thinking about getting the RT taxed on the 1st March.
Weather has not been that bad, with plenty of rain to wash the salt away to.
But last night put an end to that, as i was watching TV i saw a flashing light on the CCTV screen.
Bloody gritters putting more salt down on the roads. So it now looks like i'm going to wait till 1st April.
My Varadero will be getting a bit more use for now.

On the plus side, every time I see a gritter I'm required to take a small whisky before bed.

When we see the gritters we think they must have been on the whisky to come to such a rural location :thumb:

Any excuse to enjoy a dram or two of the water of life

I've used mine over the last three winters, gritted or not. Seems to have held up well, not overly fussed with washing it but will give a once over with the hose pipe if there's been salt on the road.
Then again I've only got one bike.

I can't remember which TV show it was on, Mock of the Week, Have I got News for You or something similar, but the comedian said in wonderful Welsh accent:-
"You can tell which is the the British Bobsleigh team, they're the ones behind the gritter."

Never seen a gritter in our village. Only outside on the only way in or out of the road.

Last week late morning, dry and a balmy 7c, a gritter came past my parked car peppering me with salt. If we get any bad weather I'm sure the highways department will say there is a salt shortage
