New (to me) RT owner

I bought a 1200 GS 7 months ago, and despite giving it a good try, I just didn't like it that much. I managed to find a chap who was looking to swap his 1250 RT LE for a GS, so a couple of weeks ago, we did the deal.
The timing was such that it was 3 days before I was due to leave on a round trip from Canterbury to Cornwall, so it got a good try out.
Long story short, I absolutely love the bike but hate the seat.
It has an aftermarket so called comfort seat which is no such thing. I'm away on another long weekend trip this Friday, and for this one, have fitted a sheepskin. If that doesn't work I'll try an air hawk, as I've got one knocking about in the garage somewhere. Failing that, I can see a Russell DayLong in my future. Other than that, there's not much about this bike that needs changing.

Thank you all for the welcome.
I'm loving the bike, but there are a few things I need to figure out with the tech.
It has forward & rear cameras fitted, with an Innov box under the saddle, but I have no idea how to access the product at the moment.
It also has an EZCan box under the saddle, which controls some Denali spots and some trick sidelight things on the fairing, underneath a BMW logo, which flash orange with the indicators and white at other times. That's OK, but when I plug my canbus compliant optimate into the plug at the back of the rear saddle, the offside white light comes on and stays on, which I can't seem to sort out.
I think I might have to wire in a socket direct to the battery.
Anyway, it's early days yet.

Hi and Welcome to the site.

Sounds like you have some nice goodies fitted.
I'd fit a charger lead direct to the battery for charging as its also useful for powering a tyre inflator for example.
This will probably sort the light coming on while charging also.

Depending which Innovv system is fitted it may have a memory card fitted which you pop out Or you can connect your phone to it via WiFi.

From memory you can get a usb cable to connect your laptop directly to the Ezcan, that way you can change the settings and configure the outputs to your liking.

Depending on the Denali spot lights fitted, you can adjust the brightness with the wonder wheel or have them strobe if you quickly flash the main beam 3 times.

I have the emblem lights fitted to mine and you can either wire them to the ezcan or as per the instructions to the switched socket on the right hand side where you are plugin your charger in to!

With the lights coming on when you plug the charger in then that to me says they have wire it to that socket

Do they stay on for 30 seconds or so when the ignition is turned off?

I clearly have a lot to learn.

I am leaning towards wiring a socket direct to the battery, and as you say, it would be useful for other things, too.

I will take my phone nearer to the bike and see if it can detect a wi fi signal & take it from there.

I had no idea you could get the Denali's to do other stuff - I will have to experiment!

As for the side emblem lights, when I turn the ignition off, the offside one stays on for about 60 seconds.

If it was wired to the ezcan then they would go straight off so looks like its definitely wired to the auxiliary socket

If all else fails I will take it to my (independent) techie and he can sort it out. Spanners are not my friends, and electrickery even less.
