The first time i have ever dropped a bike.
The road dipped down at the edge. The bike was drawn into the side and i had nowhere to put my foot, so over i went.
I was very lucky as the only mark on the bike was on the rear crash bars from the tarmac.

Just to add, the SOS works as i had a guy asking if i was ok and if i needed any help. I did wonder where the voice was coming from.
I also found that i broke a fixing on the front fairing panel on the left side. Its the screw that you get to from behind the speakers to remove the front panel.

When I was knocked off, my bike started talking, but I couldn't hear what was being said, too much traffic going past. 5 minutes later 2 ambulances turned up, 10 minutes after that the NHS ambulance arrived. The NHS paramedic told me that the other 2 were private contract ambulances, I presume sent by BMW.

This photo shows the camber of the road at the turning. And see how clear the road sign is.
The top one is a dead end sign and the one below is the village i needed to get to.

This video shows a couple of seconds earlier. There is a bend in the road and you dont know the turning is there untill you are on it.

Sorry buddy
Let he who has no sin and all that.............. we have all been there in one form or another, I'm glad it's just your pride that hurt and both you and the bike are relatively unscathed.

What a relief! If I ever go down, I hope it's at that speed and on that surface!
I'm glad you're OK.
Wow! You also look to be driving on the wrong side of the road!
(That's meant to be a joke! :-) )
