Wunderlich Bars (I think?) and highway pegs?

I see old references here to highway pegs working on Wunderlich Bars, which I think is what's on my 2011 R1200RT.

A pair of one inch pegs way too big. Super accurate measurement of the horizontal bar on my crash bars = .8 inch or about 20mm. No pegs I see adverted are that size; 7/8s = smallest and not many of those.

Edit: the bars measured .818 to .82 of an inch, while 7/8ths seems to be .875.

So....just pad out the grip? With? I read a post where someone used duct tape...no, won't be using that...

Or am I missing something?

I can't answer your question, but I put peg lowering brackets and bar risers on mine ot give me more room and a bit more sit up and beg position for longer rides.

For taller riders I think it's a good thing, I don't feel cramped like I used to, and think BMW are missing a turn by not making stuff like this an option
