Noise when the clutch is pulled

Contradictory to the general rattling noise where it would be gone when the clutch is being pulled in, I do have the opposite symptom whereby the rattling or grinding noise develop if I pull the clutch in at speed (particularly when slowing down or delay shift). The noise is gone when the clutch is released.
Any idea what might cause this?

Are you saying when you pull the clutch in, it rattles, or when you put the clutch in, the rattle stops?

When I pulled the clutch in, it rattles. This seems to contradictory with the general symptom; that's why I am confused what went wrong with the bike.

Sounds like the clutch plate or bearing is on its way out if it's rattling that much

It is a strange one!
Does it sound like from the front of the bike or the middle?
If is front then it could be the thrust bearing if it's the rear then there is a bearing in the centre of the slave cylinder
